Brian - I completed my first marathon in New York in 1997. The upcoming Boston Marathon will be my 9th marathon. My qualifying race for the Boston Marathon was in Chicago in October 2004, when I ran the marathon in 3 hours and 7 minutes. My goal for the Boston Marathon is 3 hours and 20 minutes. My traning program for this race is 18 weeks long. I plan to run about 700 miles over that time period.

It is 7 weeks to the marathon. So far, I have completed 11 out of 18 weeks of training. I have ran about 420 miles. My longest run so far has been 20 miles. The most mileage I have run in a single week is 50 miles.
